Charlie Woods joins Miles Russel in Tallahassee

Charlie Woods, son of 15-time major champion Tiger Woods, has officially committed to Florida State University, joining forces with Miles Russel, the #1 golfer in the class of 2027. The pairing brings together two of the most highly anticipated young golfers in the country.

Charlie is currently a junior at The Benjamin School in South Florida. Last year, his team won the state title, with Charlie firing the team’s low round of 68. He’s probably best known for his runner-up finish at the PNC Championship alongside his father, Tiger Woods, where he made a big impression on a national stage.

While signing day is set for November, Woods’ father, Tiger, emphasized the importance of Charlie forging his own path. “I just always remind him, ‘Just be you.’ Charlie is Charlie. Yes, he’s my son, he’s gonna have that last name as part of the sport, but I just want him to just be himself, you know, and be your own person. That’s what we’ll always focus on and we’ll always encourage it, for him just to carve his own name, to carve his own path and have his own journey,” Tiger said after his round at the 2024 PNC Championship.

Signing day will come later this year in November, when Charlie and Miles will officially commit to FSU.
